In collaboration with the Center for Business Sustainability of National Chengchi University and Chang Gung University’s Office of Sustainable Development, the Management Review is launching a special issue on “ESG Case Studies.” We are honored to have Professor Yung-Cheng Shen from National Taiwan Normal University as the guest editor-in-chief. Professors Sou-Shan Wu from National Taiwan Normal University and Da-Hsiang Donald Lien from the University of Texas-San Antonio will serve as co-editors-in-chief.
This special issue invites innovative corporate case studies of Climate Finance related to ESG, but not limited to it, with no restrictions on industry sectors or company size. ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance, which are key indicators of corporate social responsibility and sustainable business practices, and crucial for investment decisions. ESG has become a global focus for businesses. We aim to gather practical ESG experiences from various companies to share with students and business professionals. Submissions are welcome in both Chinese and English from domestic and international contributors.
Review Process for this Special Issue
- The editor-in-chief of this special issue, Professor Yung-Cheng Shen, Professor Sou-Shan Wu, and Professor Da-Hsiang Donald Lien will organize an editorial committee based on the nature of the submissions to conduct the review process.
- After receiving the manuscript, it will first undergo a basic format review and a similarity comparison on Turnitin. If it meets the standards, it will then proceed to the first review.
- The review process for this special issue will be conducted through a double-blind peer review, ensuring the anonymity of both the authors and reviewers.
- Five to ten selected works will be published in this special issue based on the submissions received. For cases accepted for publication, Management Review will coordinate the translation. Each case will be published in both Chinese and English in the same issue as a standard practice.

Please submit your complete manuscript in both Word and PDF formats to the email address: marskmcc@gmail.com. Use the subject line: “Management Review 2025 ESG Case Special Issue_Title of Your Paper.”
- Instructions for the Complete Manuscript (Word and PDF):
The manuscript should include a “Cover Page” and the “Full Text.”
The cover page should include the authors’ full names, affiliations, titles, and contact information. Avoid any identifiable information within the full text for anonymous review purposes.
- Full Text of the Manuscript (including Chinese and English abstracts, figures, and references): The manuscript should be between 6,000 to 20,000 English words (9.5pt font size, not exceeding 15 pages) for English articles.
- Management Review follows the APA 7th edition guidelines. Please visit Submission Style Guidelines for details (https://www.management-review.org/en/submission/style-guidelines). Contributors are requested to download the “Case Paper Checklist” and “Declaration of Data Authenticity” from the “Submission Guidelines” section.
- Prior to formal acceptance, all listed authors are required to sign the “Copyright Statement and Agreement” and provide a scanned copy to the editorial office. The document can be downloaded from the official website of Management Review (https://www.management-review.org/en/submission/submission-guidelines).
- Sign the “Case Release Form”: For field cases involving real companies, please attach the company’s authorization letter (original with company seal). Submit this document after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
- After conditional acceptance of the manuscript, the author must pay a publication fee of NT$10,000 (Updated on 2024.09.24).
